The great poetess Donna Summer said, “She works hard for the money! So hard for it, honey!” And yes, you’ve worked hard for your money, so why shouldn’t you ask, get, and make more? In salary/pay negotiations, we’ve often been advised to wait for the number to be quoted to us, and then to counter it. Well, honey. It’s a new day! When our curator, Boz, was interviewed by Gayle King on CBS This Morning, she said “Give the number first. AND MAKE IT HIGH AS HELL.” *Insert shock and awe* Yessssss, she said what she said.
